How To Monetize Facebook Groups With Local Clients
So if you’ve read the 0-600 facebook likes in 7 days article I wrote and followed it you should have a page fully laid out, looking sharp with close to at least 1000 likes and therefore followers. The next step is a method i came up with literally in the shower, Monetizing the page. Literally 2 hours after leaving the shower I had my First Facebook page making me £60 ($87) a month. Within two days I had monetized two more and I’m enjoying the fruits of £160 ($261) a month and a lot of bills paid for. I shall now walk you through (step by step) the simple method I used to do this.
The method I used to acquire the client.
After a perhaps a few weeks your Facebook page will begin to have quite some interaction. People will start posting to your page in the visitor post section. Some of these, depending on your niche, will be trying to leverage your following to advertise their own product. See screenshot.
All you have to now do is message this person a proposal. This works every time for me, see above reply. Now you may have noticed I’d pointed him towards a post I had placed on the page. This was an advert on the main feed which would have had the reach of the entire page and caught a lot of attention.
The next phase involved Direct Messaging the client, introducing the deal, agreeing and then introducing them to the payment method. This is a lot easier than you would think.
The first two things you must get are a website (a simple free WordPress will do) and a Paypal account. I would recommend you make the WordPress account along the theme of you Facebook. For example; if your Facebook page is called ‘I love Batman’, make the WordPress site www.ilovebatman.wordpress.com. It will set the client at ease and add trust but ideally buy the domain.
To create the PayPal account go to PayPal.com and sign up. You then need to add recurring payments, this option can be found in the tools section in the top menu.
On the right-hand side of the tools page click ‘create a subscription’ and fill in the form as required.
The next page will offer these options:
Upon doing this implement the HTML code for the button into a page marked ‘Advertising’ on your new blog and you’re done. Send the client the URL and they can enter their details for the payment there.
Now to dealing with the client.
When I direct message the client I first introduce the situation like so..
Hi Bob, if you’d like to we can arrange to permanently advertise your campervans on our page. We charge £15 per week on a reoccurring payment via PayPal which you can cancel at any time. We can put together your ad/post which will be pinned to the top of the feed for all our current and new followers to see. Cheers,
After a brief conversation regarding the deal, striking it and sealing with the payment method explained above, I will offer them a couple of options. Note: The client rarely fully understands proposed ideas as they lack the technical knowledge regarding Facebook marketing. I believe a few options help convey professionalism, and give the client an element of control:
Thank you very much for the payment, I’ve drafted a few proposals for the Post ad which will be pinned to the top of the feed, we’ll also include the picture of bob the campervan from your Facebook profile picture.
Here are some examples:

If you have any other ideas or want us to amend anything please don’t hesitate to let us know and if you have any promotional information you wish us to include in the post/ad I’ll happily incorporate it.
Upon this draw up a mock post as a draft and screenshot it for their approval. When approved, upload and pin to top of feed. (The option to do so is in the right top options menu on your post like so).
And there we have it. To maintain the approval of your client I recommend spending a quarter of the monthly income (£15/$21.76) boosting the post over the course of the month to keep its reach up and keep the client happy.
All in all you will be left with a monthly income of £45/$65, repeat this across merely 5 accounts and you’ll be making £225/$325 a month reoccurring.
This is just one small method you can use to build up your income online. This system would compliment a sales funnel system on your page. I will go into sales funnels further in another post, but this could compliment your income with very little effort to fully optimize the financial worth of your Facebook campaigns.
